Top Ten Tuesday : March 4, 2014

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme host by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Top Ten Popular Authors I’ve Never Read!

  1. Markus Zusak – Most known for The Book Thief. I have meant to pick up this book countless times and yet it lingers on my TBR.
  2. Cinda Williams Chima – She has two very well known fantasy series (Seven Realms & The Heir Chronicles) that have both been on my TBR for awhile.
  3. Neal Shusterman – I have had Unwind on my TBR since it came out and yet it still sits unread. I think I may do a binge once the 4th book is out.
  4. Maria V. Snyder – She has several well known series but her Study series (Poison Study) has been one that I have wanted to get to for some time.
  5. Kristin Cashore – I know! I haven’t read Graceling!
  6. Rachel Hawkins – I’ve met her several times and she is hilarious and I’ve heard her books are just the same.
  7. Margaret Atwood – The Handmaid’s Tale has not only great feedback, but sounds like an amazing book.
  8. Laurie Halse Anderson – I haven’t read Speak or Wintergirls but both have been on my TBR along with her new book The Impossible Knife of Memory
  9. Patrick Ness – I have wanted to change this countless times. I have yet to hear a bad things about any of his books (plus he is one of my favorite people on Twitter).
  10. Scott Westerfeld – I bought the entire Uglies series with intention to binge read it and I still have not got around to it. I think this needs to change soon.

I really enjoyed the Uglies series. It’s worth checking out. I’ve only read The Knife Of Never Letting Go from Patrick Ness, but I’ll definitely be buying and reading more of his work! 😀

I really loved The Book Thief and suggest moving that one off this never-read list! The Handmaid’s Tale is another good one but took me awhile to get through, I’d also recommend it though! Nice list 🙂

!! I can’t believe you’re missing out on some great authors. I hope you’re able to find time to squeeze some of them in soon. Patrick Ness, Kristin Cashore and Neal Shusterman are really, really fantastic.
