Friday Fun (#1)

Jamie over at The Perpetual Page-Turner started doing some Friday Fun posts that features some fun surveys about herself using books! I decided to join in the fun. This week I will be doing the A to Z Bookish Survey, check out Jamie’s here. I have my Goodreads open, so let the fun begin!

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Meg Cabot! No surprise there because she was my FAVORITE author in high school.

Best Sequel Ever:

The Crown of Embers by Rae Carson because Hector.

Currently Reading:

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Water! Sometimes coffee or tea (depending on the weather) but I’m not a huge pop drinker.

E-reader or Physical Book?

Physical because I love getting my books signed.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Ron Weasley from Harry Potter because I was totally into the funny, immature type.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

Wild Awake by Hilary T. Smith

Hidden Gem Book:

Hourglass by Myra McEntire

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

Finding out about Goodreads! I’ve been using Goodreads since 2011 and love it for keep track of everything book related.

Just Finished:

Dare You To by Katie McGarry

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Books written in verse (i.e. Ellen Hopkins, sorry!)

Longest Book You’ve Read:

The Host by Stephanie Meyer (864 pages)

Major book hangover because of:

Cress by Marissa Meyer because SO much happens/is reveled in the last 50-ish pages.

Number of Bookcases You Own:

One! It is build into the wall so it is rather large but I just recently filled it and need to invest in number two!

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

The Harry Potter Series. I’ve read each book at least 5 times.

Preferred Place To Read:

My bed.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

“Eleanor was right. She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn’t supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.” Rainbow Rowell, Eleanor & Park

Reading Regret:

Not branching out until recently. I used to only read contemporary and popular books (i.e. Harry Potter, Twilight). I now know there is SO much more out there!

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

Percy Jackson (which I am currently working on!) or The Maze Runner. I own ALL the books in both series but find myself drawn to everything else.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

Harry Potter by JK Rowling
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancy
(and maybe also Fangirl and Eleanor & Park…)

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Rainbow Rowell.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo. This series helped me get back into reading last year and wowowow I need it.

Worst Bookish Habit:

Reading multiple books at once. This causes me to get confused/forget details but I STILL DO IT.

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bargugo.

Your latest book purchase:

The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider. I read an ARC of this and LOVED it and knew I needed a finished copy.

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I almost read this in one sitting but decided I needed SOME sleep.

This is such a good list! I agree with you in almost every aspect, and you reminded me that I simply have to read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I read Eleanor & Park and it was just amazing!
